Miles Johnson - Head Coach

Hello Las Trampas Seahorses!

I am excited for another fun-filled summer and cannot wait to hit the pool deck! I have loved coaching at Las Trampas for the past five years, and I look forward to the upcoming summer for it will be my first summer as Head Coach. I began my Las Trampas career in 1995 as a terrified 7 year old that barely knew how to swim. Under the careful instruction of past LT coaches I was able to mature and grow into a competitive swimmer. For me, Las Trampas was not only a place where I meet friends and learned how to swim, but it was a place that trained me to be a highly competitive swimmer. Over my swimming career I was blessed to break several relay and individual records, as well as win County, City Meet, and League Championships.

I graduated from Berean Christian High School in 2007 and currently am in my third year at Biola University. In high school, I loved participating in athletics, playing football, basketball, volleyball and swimming. At Biola (in La Mirada, CA just 20 minutes from Disneyland!) I have enjoyed getting involved with intramural sports, while attempting to stay on top of my busy academic schedule. In the upcoming school year I will hopefully be attending USC as a part of Biola’s 3/2 Engineering program where I will finish my remaining 2 years, thus completing my Civil Engineering degree. It is quite a difficult field of study so when I’m not doing homework I unwind by playing guitar, running, working out, and playing basketball.
