Hello Las Trampas 2010!

In 1998 I joined the seahorse family and I have not stopped swimming since!  Although I was a challenged swimmer from the start, with the help of some very dedicated and inspiring coaches, I eventually became a competitive swimmer.  Those early years of my swimming career not only inspired me to become a coach, but also gave me a greater understanding for helping other struggling swimmers.  For me, swimming for Las Trampas was not just a summer activity, but also a place where I learned the invaluable skills of teamwork, goal setting and perseverance that have shaped me into the person I am today.

This will be my sixth season as a coach for LT and I am looking forward to making it my best!  I am excited for season because I will be leading the Spirit Squad, a new social and leadership program for older LT swimmers.  Along with coaching for Las Trampas, I also coached one season for Orinda Aquatic fall program under Coach Kevin Lai, head coach of MVPC and Miramonte High School.  Not only do I love coaching, because I enjoy swimming, but because I get the opportunity to work with such a variety of people encouraging each to grow as swimmers and individuals.

I graduated from Campolindo High School in 2008, where I swam all four years.   I am currently a second year at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where I am studying architecture.  Although I no longer swim competitively, I still swim on my own 3-4 per week.  Apart from my time in studio, I enjoy running, painting, and hiking around SLO.

I cannot wait to start the 2010 season!  Lets make it our best LT!
