Information For Prospective Members:
Las Trampas, Inc. is a non-profit California corporation of two hundred member families sharing ownership of the club. The purpose of the corporation is to operate and maintain the club and its related recreational and social activities for use of its members, their families and guests. A Board of Directors selected by the member’s runs the corporation.
Cost Of Membership:
A one-time initiation fee of $675.00 is required. This includes a transfer fee of $50.00, which is charged upon the sale of membership. When that occurs, a net amount of $625.00 is refunded. All pool sales that take place after the season opening day will be prorated. Annual dues are $575.00.
Becoming A Member:
The first step toward becoming a member is to mail a check in the amount of $25.00 with the form below to our post office box. Make your check payable to Las Trampas Pool, Inc. Please note this fee is non-refundable and may not be applied as credit for other fees. Upon receipt of your request and fee, we will send you a confirmation letter that also indicates your family’s position on our waiting list. You will be able to determine your family’s changing position by consulting the list posted in our office window. Forty “Associate Memberships” are granted to families that have progressed through the waiting list. These Associate Members enjoy the same benefits as Full Members, but are not granted voting rights. Associate Members are considered “members-in-waiting” who are required to pay the initiation fee of $675.00. Associate Members must also pay annual summer dues of $575.00. Annual dues will be pro-rated if Associate Membership is offered after the pool’s season opening date.

Membership Privileges:
Las Trampas Pool opens near the beginning of May and operates through September. Normal operating hours are from 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. weekdays and 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends until school is out, and then summer hours are posted at the pool. Adult swim periods are called quarter to the hour and last 15 minutes. Swim lessons for all levels of proficiency are available during the season. Members may bring guests to the club. A guest is anyone over the age of three and in swim attire. Members will pay $2.00 per guest.
Seahorse Swim Team:
Las Trampas Swim Team is a family oriented, parent supported and non-profit member of the Diablo Community Swim League. It is a summer recreational program for children and young adults under 19 years of age that enjoy improving their swimming skills in a competitive atmosphere. Emphasis placed on individual improvement, teamwork and team spirit. Anyone who can swim the length of the pool can join the swim team. Our swim team competes against other teams in dual, invitational, city and county meets. Membership on the team is open to all members and associate members. We also offer a Mudskippers program for beginning swimmers. Swim team dues are currently $260.00/$225.00 (6 and over/mudskippers) for members and associate members (cost adjusted annually.) Swimsuit purchase is not included in this sum, and families of participating swimmers must perform jobs at swim meets.
